Our adventure this weekend; the Pau Akuche biking and hiking outing.

A cycling and hiking tour from Holo Market making a looping ride and hike, exploring the farm and fields, hills and valleys, two river crossings and a detour into a eucalyptus forest.

We have a sit down for brunch, hosted by Dalla Adventures and our newest enterprise, Holo Bakery who will offer some treats upon finishing the ride.

Last Saturday morning, we left Kisumu for Mt. Elgon National Park, for an afternoon climb to Koitoboss Peak; our first time trying out the option of hiking up on the 1st day, the day of arrival at Elgon.

We started the climb at 2 pm, .landro and Natali made it to the peak just after 6pm, the latest time a team traveling with has gotten to Koitoboss Peak. We got back to end road just after 8pm, quite a treacherous hike, especially coming down after dusk.

It was a cold and rainy trek to the peak and back, one to remember for days. experienced one of the heaviest bouts of altitude sickness, falling short of making it his 15th summit to Koitoboss.

Thank you and cheers to our friends who had a good time, being brave throughout this amazing adventure! :)

We made a historic climb up Mt Elgon yesterday, we took 3, 7 and 9 year olds who fought their way up the treacherous trails, overcoming the cold weather and altitude sickness to summit in 4 hours, covering the 8 miles ( about 12.3km).
