Brage - The Lamu dhow

The Brage Experience you get by joining trips with the dhow named Brage in the Lamu Archipelago. Captain is Muhsin Kassim Zeid from Kiwayuu, born 26,08.1984

Brage is a Mozambique-style dhow which can take up to 20 persons, and for overnight, up to 8. Brage is owned by the norwegian Eiliv Sørhus, born 1979, and is named after his first nephew. Brage is a norse male name, and means «the best» or «the one in front». It can also mean «Poem», as the norse god Brage was the god of poems.
