Mnarani House, Shela, Lamu Island

We are so excited to reopen the house for rent, after a restoration project which has taken place over these past 5 months. The house has had a complete facelift and is absolutely stunning! eople in 4 double bedrooms, all ensuite. Each bedroom has access to a balcony area. A dedicated team of talented local artisans have contributed to this project. The house now has a variety of fine decorative traditional wall plasterwork carvings and niches, "Vidakas", a gorgeous interior white terrazzo overflow swimming pool. Hand painted wooden ceiling beams and smooth white plastered walls and floors in "Nirhu", an essential feature of a traditional Swahili stone house, giving a cool finish to the house. The open large rooftop area, complete with bar area and comfortable seating, has magnificent views of Shela and the sea. Our staff Lucas, Raphael and Juma are looking forward to welcoming visitors to Mnarani House in the near future.
