Aberdare National Park was established in 1948, and it stretches over the Aberdare Mountains of Kenya, near Nairobi. The park contains an astonishing diversity of flora and fauna, with over 1,500 species of plants, 260 species of birds, 70 mammals, 30 amphibians, and 15 reptiles that call this park home at some point during the year.
