Celebrating our oceans and beaches but especially today “World Turtle Day”, we would like to highlight the amazing work of Kuruwitu Conservation and Welfare Community Based Organisation (KCW-CBO).

They are local to Scenic Air Safaris head office at Vipingo and we have supported them from the start.

Dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems, they offer sustainable management of coastal resources, improving both marine life and the socio-economic welfare of the Kuruwitu community.

Scenic Air Safaris strive to show you the most extraordinary corners of Africa, creating memorable experiences throughout.

A big part of an African Safari is the well known “sundowner”, toasting each other in front of a spectacular sunset backdrop, with yummy drinks and snacks.

Traditionally the gin & tonic was most well known but these days many lodges and camps also have delicious cocktail creations.

Today we celebrate world cocktail day, and I think back to some of the fabulous cocktail sundowner spots, i have been lucky enough to visit with Scenic Air Safaris.

Here’s an old weather saying: ring around the moon means rain soon. There’s truth to this saying, because high cirrus clouds often come before a storm. Notice in this photo that the sky looks fairly clear. After all, you can see the sun or moon.
