I am delighted to share that Sheldrick Wildlife Trust will be reopening its *11am public visit as of the 12 of July 2021.* Please note, however, the *5pm foster parent visit will remain closed for the foreseeable future.*

In March 2020, we made the proactive decision to close our doors in response to the pandemic. The world has changed in that time, and in order to safely reopen, we have had to adapt our visiting policies accordingly. As always, the well-being of our orphans, staff, and visitors is of paramount importance. Please help us ensure everyone’s safety by respectfully adhering to our new on-site protocols, which are outlined below.

*NEW BOOKING REQUIREMENTS:*
Access to the orphans between *11am – 12noon is strictly by advance booking only.*
Entry requires a minimum contribution of *Kshs 1500/- (US$15.00) per person 12 years and above, and Kshs 500/- (US$5.00)* for those under 12 years of age. In an effort to limit numbers, only those paying the relevant visiting contribution will be admitted.
*Only 100 guests shall be booked per day,* in accordance with Government Protocols. No block bookings shall be permitted. Bookings may only be made up to three months in advance of the booking date.
Payment for the visiting hour is accepted in *cash or Mpesa on the day of the visit.*
Please note there will be no refunds on the entry fee.
If you would like to make a booking please send us an email with your group name, group number and date you would like to visit.

*SOCIAL DISTANCING AND SAFETY MEASURES:*
All visitors to please sanitise and complete a temperature check before entry. All guests whose temperatures are above 37.5 C shall not be allowed entry.
As a courtesy to our staff, face masks are to be worn at all times during your visit.
Social distancing is to be respected during your visit.
No smoking or va**ng is allowed at the orphans’ mud bath area.
Phones should be set to silent and no phone calls should be made or received while at the orphans’ mud bath area.

We encourage visitors to arrive at *10:30am,* to ensure minimum delays. Please note that management reserves the right of admission to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Nairobi.
