Less crowded than other routes, it combines serenity with strategic campsites (e.g., Shipton’s Camp) and pairs well with the Chogoria route for a scenic circuit. Easily accessible from Nanyuki, it balances safety, wildlife sightings, and a non-technical trek to Point Lenana, making it perfect for both novices and seasoned hikers.

Due to Public demand, we are left with no option but to invite you for an unforgettable hike to Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second-highest peak! We’ll trek via the scenic Sirimon Route up to Old Moses Camp (3,300m), soaking in breathtaking views and crisp mountain air.

On the Road from Nairobi to Sirimon Gate:
- Depart Nairobi early and enjoy the lush greenery of Thika’s pineapple farms and coffee plantations.
- Pass through Nanyuki town, with stunning distant views of Mt. Kenya’s snow-capped peaks.
- Drive through montane forests and open savannah, spotting wildlife like zebras or antelopes along the way.

Views of Mt. Kenya’s Peaks:
- Marvel at the jagged Batian (5,199m) and Nelion (5,188m) peaks, crowned with glaciers.
- Capture the golden sunrise lighting up Point Lenana (4,985m) and the surrounding alpine valleys.
- Trek through serene moorlands dotted with giant lobelias and groundsels near Old Moses Camp.
