These young males are merely practicing, with no real stakes involved. However, for older giraffes, these sparring matches take on greater significance.
Mature males compete in dramatic displays to win mating rights with females in season.
Once dominance is established, life on the savannah quickly returns to its usual tranquil pace.
It may seem like these young giraffes are in a heated battle, but it’s just some playful antics and harmless horseplay.

Fort Jesus is a historic fort located on Mombasa Island in Kenya.
Built by the Portuguese between 1593 and 1596 under the design of Italian architect Giovanni Battista Cairati, it was intended to guard the Old Port of Mombasa.
The fort is a remarkable example of Renaissance military architecture. When viewed from above, it is shaped like a man.
Throughout its history, Fort Jesus has changed hands multiple times, being captured and recaptured by various powers, including the Sultan of Mombasa, the Omani Arabs, and the British.
It served as a prison in the 19th century before becoming a national park in 1958 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011.
