On Saturday, along with a group of like-minded hikers, we embarked on a hike to Kiambicho forest and explored the Muranga gorges.

The weather was fantastic; despite it being the rainy season, the hot sun welcomed us. We had anticipated rain and brought along all our gear. Our hike commenced at 8:30 am and concluded by 3 pm, during which we covered approximately 14kms.

One of the key highlights of this hike was experiencing a walk inside the gorges that were formed during the El Niño rains of 1996/1997. The beauty was breathtaking, to say the least. We're sharing a few photos below to give you a taste of our experience, hoping they inspire you to embrace the great outdoors.

We had an amazing Saturday on 20th April 2024 exploring Eburru forest with a fantastic group of fellow hikers.

Ascending Eburru is always a joy, surrounded by majestic old trees creating picturesque canopies. The melody of birdsong and the crisp forest air made our journey truly unforgettable.
