Enchanted signature cottages is a concept that was born out of the realization that in the Kenyan culture, the ultimate success of a person is measured by the kind of the house he/she in their rurals (ushago). We build elaborate homes in the tranquil background of our farms so that we can be the envy of the rural folk we leave behind when we go to make it big in the cities. Unfortunately our busy schedule in our lives rob us time to enjoy the beautiful country home we left behind. With no one left to maintain them, they slowly get dilapidated and sadly the investment goes to waste. On the other end there’s a traveler, a low budget tourist set to explore the beauty and wonder of our country, and his biggest challenge is to afford the high accommodation fee in the hotels. We saw the opportunity to help the tourist with comfortable, very affordable accommodation, while at the same time salvage houses that are wasting away. At enchanted signature cottages, we love to respect and therefore leave as unchanged as possible each home we ‘adopt’ to use as part of our cottages. For this reason we like to remind our clients that what we offer is comfortable, clean, secure, cheap accommodation but not always exclusive, plush hotel quality accommodation. We leave each home just as the owner intended it to be.
