Leopards have incredible strength and can climb as high as 50 feet (15 meters) up a favorite tree while holding a fresh kill in its mouth, even one larger and heavier than themselves! They stash food up high so other predators such as lions or hyenas can't get it. #tembeakenya
The largest known male cheetah coalition in the Mara, formerly Tano Bora after killing one of their own Orpadan last week. Now Nne Bora taking down a Topis at the plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve a few moments ago. You got to #ExperienceTheExcitement

She rubs against the male, presenting her posterior with tail raised invitingly, but when he makes a bold approach, she turns upon him spitting, scratching and yowling. The next moment she writhes on the ground at his feet or invites pursuit.” –Richard Estes, Author, The Behaviour Guide to African Mammals

Cheetah scent marking involves spraying urine and defecating on landmarks. It is often done by males competing for the best hunting grounds. Scent is one of the main communication channels among cheetahs.
In addition to depositing 'number one (urine)' and 'number two (scat)', cheetah scent-marking also includes rubbing their cheek or body against a tree or raking their hind feet on the site they left their mark. Cheetahs leave scents on trees, termite mounds and man-made objects that stand out in the landscape.
Witnessed this cheetah as he marked his territory by the Mara River at Maasai Mara National Reserve
