Joy, excitement, and sheer delight—these are just a few of the emotions that visitors experience while watching elephant bathtime at Ithumba in Tsavo. Part of the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's renowned rehabilitation project, this experience is a must-visit for anyone with a love for elephants and conservation. It also just happens to be one of our favourite places to visit.

Two years ago, as part of Joe and Kian's African Adventure they spent an incredible week exploring this remote wilderness, and it’s safe to say it quickly became a firm favourite. Covering over 30,000 sqkm of habitat, this park offers jaw-dropping wildlife sightings – especially during the dry season when the Luangwa River draws animals close.

The highlights: A 3-day walking safari where we tracked lions, hippos, and more. 🐾 It was raw, remote, and oh so wild!

Even on holiday can't help exploring! Find out more here: https://www.eastafricasafariventures.com/an-african-adventure/

Increasing your step count for real—not just from bouncing around in a vehicle—is just one of the many benefits of visiting a private conservancy! Heading out on foot turns your safari experience into something truly special. As you walk across the wide, open plains with your guide, you’ll feel a deep connection to nature that isn’t possible from a vehicle. Unlike National Parks, private conservancies like Ol Pejeta, where this photo was taken, offer the rare chance to leave the vehicle behind and immerse yourself fully in the breathtaking landscape.

We're proud to work with amazing organisations like Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where these photos were taken. Conservancies like Ol Pejeta not only protect endangered species and promote innovative conservation methods but also offer genuine wilderness experiences with real wildlife interactions. They're not just crucial for conservation—they're also fantastic places to explore!

The Great Migration is in full swing in the Maasai Mara, as thousands of wildebeest trek purposefully across the plains, following the rains and fresh grasses. This short video was captured just a few weeks ago while on safari.

As you ride your quad bike along the sun-baked luggas of Kenya’s Northern Frontier District, a dry riverbed stretches out beneath your tyres, while local tribesmen stand watch, offering a rare glimpse into a timeless way of life. The thrill of navigating through rugged, untouched wilderness is complemented by the natural beauty of desert palms and ancient wildlife corridors.
