Last Friday, NCBA Group Director of Retail Banking and Head of Delegation to Turkey, Tirus Mwithiga had the privilege of speaking to local journalists in İnegöl, a province in Bursa at a press conference organised by the Mayor.

He recognised the importance of such trips and the immense support NCBA customers received from various local manufacturers such as ÇELMO Furniture, who were keen on expanding their partnerships in African markets such as Kenya - as directed by their President in a bid to fulfil their country's goal of achieving USD 500 Billion in exports.

Thanks to the support of Travel Group, the delegation had a productive meeting with various business leaders and government officials from the region to explore multiple ways in which all parties may benefit from working together.

Greetings from the vibrant land of Turkey! 🇹🇷

The first two days of NCBA Bank business banking customers’ market exposure trip were filled with exploration, learning, and insightful interactions. Some of the key highlights were:

🌏 Arrival in Istanbul: The journey kicked off as the team touched down in the enchanting city of Istanbul. The seamless blend of historic architecture and modern urban life was immediately captivating.

🌏 Welcome dinner: No trip to Turkey is complete without eating Turkish dishes like kebabs and baklava. The team was treated to a delightful dinner when they arrived at their hotel.

🌏 Sakarya Industrial Area site and factory visits. The team visited various factories specializing in concrete production, construction, glass production, motor vehicle production, and fabric production among others.

As day 2 wraps up, the team’s excitement is building up for what lies ahead. The team is scheduled to visit more manufacturing units, where they will witness firsthand the intricacies of Turkey's production capabilities.

Yesterday NCBA Bank business banking customers had the privilege of visiting several factories in the Düzce Industrial Area including Soylu Agzoz Autopart Factory, Pekintas Prefabricated Construction Factory, and Teknorot Autoparts Factory where they were able to learn first-hand from various high-level manufacturers on the various technology and techniques they employ for commercial success.

Our team was happy to facilitate the factory site visits and encouraged by the immense positive response from the participants who benefitted greatly from the experience.
