The panel discussion on key competitive drivers, focusing on logistics and infrastructure, the cost and availability of utilities, and labor productivity, is ongoing. The discussions seek to reform Kenyaβs business environment by addressing these drivers to foster sustainable economic growth and position Kenya as a globally competitive economy. This will then be followed by a plenary where participants from both sides will collectively discuss and query the issues raised in the panel to explore solutions and the best way forward.
On the panel chaired by KEPSA Vice Chairperson Ms. Brenda Mbathi are private sector representatives Mr. Auni Bhaiji - Regional Director, External Affairs, Development & Operations, Africa Global Logistics; Mr. Rajan Shah - Immediate Past Chairperson of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers; Mr. Macharia Muthondu - 1st National Vice President of the Federation of Kenya Employers; Ms. Agatha Thuo - CEO of ASNET; and Mr. George Aluru - Chairperson of the Energy and Petroleum Sector Board.
The National Assembly is represented by Hon. James Gakuya Mwangi, MP - Chairperson, Trade & Industry Departmental Committee; Hon. Vincent Musyoka, MP - Chairperson, Energy Departmental Committee; Hon (CPA) Francis Kuria Kimani, MP - Chairperson, Finance & National Planning Departmental Committee; and Hon.
