Our next hike takes us to Mt. Satima ,Kenya's 3rd highest peak standing at approximately 4,001m ASL. The Mountain is the immediate neighbor to a number of sharp volcanic cones called โ€œthe Dragonโ€™s Teethโ€. Dragonโ€™s Teeth is a sporadic spread of jagged rocks that rise above the consistently wet moorlands in Northern Aberdares.

๐Ÿ’ช Hiking level: Despite its high latitudes. It is for both experienced and starters

The gentle 16 km trail will take us through a hikerโ€™s paradise, trekking through fields of lush alpine vegetation, spotting a few wild animals, and walking past countless rows of magnificent craggy moraines, dubbed โ€œDragonโ€™s Teethโ€. The Dragonโ€™s Teeth trail delivers some of the most breathtaking views of all hiking trails in Kenya.

This is a full day excursion around Lake Elementaita_ a treasure paradise at the heart of the great rift valley.
The sleeping warrior hill is a mimic of sleeping Delamere and noticeably the peak or the summit that resembles his nose from a distance. The locals associate the hill with a Masai Oloibon who died long time ago.
The trail runs along the shores of Lake Elementaita to the hot springs where locals and vistors takes a shower as the water is believed to have a healing effect on oneโ€™s skin. It then proceeds towards the base of the Sleeping warrior before leading to a sharp ascent to the nose (peak) which provides a mesmerizing view of the lake and the caldera. The trail then descends to lead towards a dirt road that leads to the the 2nd peak(Ugali hill) and the 3rd peak (Ugali saucer). The walk gives the trekkers an opportunity to view wildlife, birds and a scenic view of the lake Elementaita and beautiful landscapes.

In this hidden gem they offer spuch activities like nature trail ,guided horse rides among other outdoors,The hike starts at the Castle Forest Lodge via a trail that leads you thru old elephant pathways and bamboo thickets. The climax of the hike is the Kamweti waterfalls.
