The day started with a demonstration of ways people can adapt urban farming. This is a great example of how #modernproblems can be solved using #modernsolutions. With the growing urban population and effects of climate change, this system of farming supports sustainable food production for local and industrial use. #worldearthday2023 #InvestInOurPlanet #YouthInConservation #urbanfarming

#FrogFriday
Did you know Frogs are amphibians? Which means
‘two lives’, as they live on land and in water!!
The presence or absence of frogs can be an excellent indicator of environmental health. Because of their permeable (leaky) skins, frogs are highly sensitive to environmental conditions and pollution; they are rapidly affected by toxins which enter through their skin. Healthy water bodies and wetlands will have healthy populations of frogs. If frogs are dying off, this may be an early warning of pollution,
which potentially might affect humans as well.
