Kenya is one of the best places in the world to spot big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—prowling the savannah. The Masai Mara National Reserve offers the best chance to see all three, particularly during the Great Migration from July to October, when they are often spotted hunting.

Tsavo East National Park is another prime location for relatively easy sightings of lions and cheetahs, while Tsavo West presents a greater challenge, making the experience of tracking them even more thrilling.

Amboseli National Park is an excellent destination for viewing lions and cheetahs, especially during the dry seasons from May to October and January to March.

For a unique experience, Ol Pejeta Conservancy allows visitors to track lions after dark. Lewa Wildlife Conservancy offers a more exclusive setting to see all three big cats without the crowds.

Meru National Park is another great spot where lions are frequently sighted. Meanwhile, Lake Nakuru National Park is home to both resident lions and leopards.

Even within Nairobi National Park, just outside Kenya’s capital, visitors can witness all three big cats in a remarkable urban-wildlife setting.
