Proposed Itinerary

Day 1- 11June- Nairobi - Lisbon
Board your overnight flight to Lisbon. Dinner and breakfast are served on board.

Day 2 – 12June Lisbon
Arrive in Lisbon and enjoy an orientation drive through Lisbon, highlighted with Mass and a visit to the birth site of Saint Anthony. Dinner and Overnight in Lisbon.

Day 3- 13June- Santarem- Fatima
Drive to the town of Santarem, one of the oldest cities in the world, where you will have Mass and visit the Church of St Stephen, which contains the oldest recorded Eucharistic Miracle. Stolen by a woman in payment to a sorcerer, the Host began to emit a brilliant beam of light and then to bleed. Reverently returned to the church of St Stephen, this miracle has been on continuous display since 1269. In the afternoon, you drive to nearby Fatima, the place where the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to three simple shepherd children and exhorted mankind to pray for world peace. Tonight you may participate in a candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 4- 14June Fatima
Six times, from the May 13 to October 13, 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three novices belonging to the diocese of Leiria. See the basilica that was constructed in 1928 and contains Francesco and Jacinta’s graves, and celebrate Mass at the Little Chapel of the Apparitions. Visit the Hamlet of Aljustrel, where the children lived, and Valinhos, the site of Our Lady’s appearance after the children’s return from prison. Follow the Stations of the Cross along the Via Sacra (The Sacred Way) culminating in the Chapel of Calvary, which overlooks all of Fatima. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.

Day 5 – 15 June Fatima – Coimbra- Alba de Tormes - Avila
Depart to Avila making 2 stops enroute; the first in Coimbra, to visit the Carmelite Convent the last earthly home of Sr. Lucia, the third visionary. Continue to the Convent of the Poor Clare’s to see the Silver coffin that holds the incorrupt body of St. Elizabeth of Portugal. On the way to Avila we make another stop in Alba de Tormes, where St. Theresa of Avila is buried. Arrive Avila in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – 16June Avila - Burgos
St. Theresa, the great mystic was the first woman to be named a Doctor of the Church. In Avila, visit the Cathedral, which contains many of St. Theresa’s relics and the crypt of the Convento of La Santa, which is built on the site of the house where she was born and is home to the most comprehensive museum dedicated to her life. Also visit La Encarnacion Convent, the first convent she founded. In the afternoon, travel to Burgos, the historic capital of Old Castile. Dinner and overnight in Burgos.

Day 7 – 17 June Burgos – Loyola- Lourdes
Mass at the Santa Maria Cathedral. Leave Burgos, heading to Lourdes. En route stop in Loyola, the birthplace of St Ignatius, founder of the Jesuits. See the 17th Century Basilica dedicated to St Ignatius and visit his family home which contains the place referred to as the Room of the Conversion. Later, travel through the Pyrenees Mountains into Lourdes, the birthplace of St Bernadette, and where Our Lady appeared in 1858 near the Grotto of Massabielle. After dinner, enjoy a candlelight procession. Overnight in Lourdes.

Day 8 – 18 June Lourdes
See a video presentation telling the story of Lourdes and enjoy a guided tour of Lourdes which will include the sanctuary; the Grotto, where Our Lady appeared under the title of the Immaculate Conception; the Basilica of the Rosary, the Basilica of St Pius X, the world’s largest underground church; Boly Mill where St Bernadette was born and the "Cachot," an abandoned prison where Bernadette’s impoverished family lived; and the baths where hundreds of miraculous cures have taken place.Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

Day 9 – 19 June Lourdes - Rome
Travel by flight(s) to Rome. Upon arrival your es**rt will warmly greet you this morning and welcome you to Italy. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy a free afternoon for rest, relaxation, or exploration. You tour es**rt can suggest sights or walks for you to enjoy. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 10 – 20 June- Rome (Papal Audience at the Vatican)
This morning the group will go to Vatican City to attend the weekly Papal Audience and Blessing given by His Holiness Francis I. Following the audience visit of the Vatican Museums, a group of most impressive edifices with hundreds of galleries filled with art treasures. See awe-inspiring relics and works of art donated throughout centuries as tributes of faith. Through the tour you will cover The Tapestry Gallery, The Raphael Rooms and the most overwhelming Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Masterpiece, restored mural of the Last Judgment. Later, enter the largest church in Christendom St Peter's Basilica, built on the site where St Peter was martyred. Unsurpassed in beauty, a monument to the long history of the Catholic Church, to which pilgrims come from around the world, St Peter's is the grandest of the world's churches. Marvel Pieta and Bernini's amazing bronze canopy. Before dinner, you will have some time at leisure, to explore your own paths, to shop, or just to sit in one of the outside cafes and watch the world go by.

Day 11- 21 June - Rome
This morning depart for a sightseeing tour of a lifetime! Although, our focus is on "Christian Rome" also you will see many important cultural and monumental sights around Rome. The tour includes three major Basilicas: St Mary Major, one of the oldest shrines dedicated to the Blessed Virgin, a shrine that contains a relic from the manger of the infant Jesus. The Basilica of the St John in Lateran, is the former residence of the popes prior to their return to Rome in 1377. St Paul Outside the Walls, which houses the remains of St Paul under its main altar. Also you will visit the ancient Baths of Caracalla, Arch of Drusus, Chapel "O'Domine Quo Vadis?" the remains of imperial tombs, Tomb of CeliliaMetella, and the catacombs of St Callixtus where the early Christians hid themselves to escape persecution. Dinner and overnight for your last evening in Rome.

Day 12 – 22 June- Rome – Nairobi -Kenya
After breakfast , drive to visit Saint Philomena Sanctuary, and return to Rome later in the afternoon. Rest of the will be at leisure, time for last minute shopping and packing, then after dinner transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

EGYPT –SINAI - ISRAEL – EGYPT

Pilgrimage tour to Israel gives Christians a lifetime opportunity to explore the Holy Land and to discover their spiritual roots in the land of their forefathers. It also gives them a chance of seeing first-hand, the sites and places that have been read about in the bible and in history books.

DAY ONE: EGYPT

Arrive at Cairo International airport in the morning. You will be welcomed and assisted through immigration and customs by our local representative and transfer for breakfast. Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. We then move to the Old Cairo to visit the hanging church that was built in the 4th century and a 5th century Basilica built over crypt where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed. We then visit the church of Mary, built at the house where the Holy Family spent their first days. Visit the Floating Bible on the River Nile. Check in the hotel. (Overnight: Cairo. Lunch /Dinner)

DAY TWO: CAIRO / SINAI

After breakfast check out of the hotel and depart for Mt. Sinai. We cross the famous Suez Canal that separates Asia and Africa. We travel to Elim where Moses found twelve water springs and 70 palm trees. We continue in the Wilderness of Sin where the miracle of Manna and Quails took place (lunch on the way).We shall also pass by Rephidim where the Israelites fought the Amalekites. Arrive at St Catherine. Check in hotel and have an early dinner. Retire early to be ready for the early morning mountain climb. Overnight: St. Catherine

DAY THREE: SINAI / TABA

At 02.00 hrs we start to climb Mt. Sinai. Return to hotel for breakfast and checking out. Thereafter we visit the Greek Orthodox St. Catherine Monastery, built at the site of the Burning Bush and the well where Moses met the daughters of Jethro. We visit the place where the Israelites camped when Moses went to receive the Ten Commandments. Travel to Taba on the Egypt Israel border, check in the hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure. (Overnight: Taba, Breakfast / lunch / Dinner)

DAY FOUR: TABA / ISRAEL

After breakfast, transfer to the border and cross over to Eilat to enter Israel through the border- check and immigration. Meet and be assisted by our new Israel guide. We then travel to Dead Sea, We will see the Fortress of Masada, caves of EinGedi, and proceed to visit Jericho. We visit the Baptismal Site on River Jordan, See the Mt. of temptation, and see remains of the walls of the old Jericho, the springs of Elisha and Zaccheus tree. Proceed to Tiberius for Dinner and overnight. (Overnight: Breakfast / lunch / Dinner)

DAY FIVE: ISRAEL

After breakfast, we travel to the Sea of Galilee and visit the MT. of Beatitudes, Proceed to Tabgha where Jesus fed 5000 men with two fish and five loaves, walk down to Primacy of Peter (Mensa Christi), then proceeding to the town of Christ (Capernaum). Also we will sail on the Sea of Galilee in a boat similar to the one used by Jesus and his disciples. Enjoy Peter’s Fish. Then we will drive to visit Cana of Galilee and taste the wine similar to that of the first miracle. Proceed to visit Nazareth, the Basilica and the Grotto of the Annunciation, House of Joseph in Nazareth. (Overnight: Tiberius, Breakfast/ lunch/Dinner)

DAY SIX: ISRAEL

After breakfast, check out of the hotel will drive to climb Mt Tabor (Mt. of Transfiguration) where Jesus was transfigured. We continue to Haifa on Mt. Carmel. We see the Elijah’s cave and the Monastery of Stella Maris and the Bahai Gardens. Proceed to Caesarea, where King Herod the Great built his Palace. We see the remains of the palace and the aqua duct. We then travel to Jaffa/ Tel Aviv. Visit the house of Simon the Tuner where Peter had the Vision of the flesh, and visit St. Peter’s Church. Proceed to Bethlehem (Overnight: Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)

DAY SEVEN: ISRAEL

Visit Bethany and enter into the Tomb of Lazarus. Proceed to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, and visit the Ascension Chapel from where Jesus ascended into Heaven. Visit the Church of Pater Noster witness the “Lord’s Prayer’ written in several languages, the Dominus Flevit, where the Lord wept over Jerusalem. Proceed to the Garden of Gethsemane along the Triumphant Entry route and see the Rock of Agony the place where Jesus prayed before His arrest. Continue to visit into the Old Jerusalem and enter the Church of St. Anne, where the Virgin Mary was born, to the Pool of Bethesda. Then continue to Via Dolorosa starting from the first station (condemnation) to the fourteenth station inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, died and buried. We enter the empty tomb of Jesus. We visit various sites in the Holy Sepulcher. Then continue crossing the old City of Jerusalem and visit the remains of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem - the Wailing Wall. (Overnight: Bethlehem, Breakfast/lunch Dinner)

DAY EIGHT: ISRAEL

In the morning we visit the ancient Church of the Nativity and touch the very place where Jesus was born. We shall also visit the "Milk Grotto" and, the "Shepherds Fields" in Beth-Sahour. We continue to visit EinKarem, the place where John the Baptist was born. We proceed to the Mount Zion area to see the Upper Room where Jesus and His disciples had their last supper with his disciples. See also King David’s tomb, the Dormition Abbey from where the Virgin Mary went into eternal sleep and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu where Peter denied Christ three times. We shall see the dungeons where Jesus spent some time before he was taken to the pretorium. (Overnight: Bethlehem, Breakfast/lunch/Dinner)

DAY NINE: ISRAEL

Travel to pass through Qumran and have an opportunity to float on Dead Sea water. Proceed to the Eilat border and cross to Taba in Egypt (Overnight: Taba – Breakfast/lunch /Dinner)

DAY TEN: EGYPT

Travel through the Sinai desert to Cairo. Leisure walks if we arrive early. At 18.00 we will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight to back home. (Breakfast / Lunch).

DAY ELEVEN: TRAVELING

Arrive in Nairobi in the morning.

DAY 01: DEPARTURE/NAIROBI/CAIRO

Meet at JKIA at 15.00hrs for group check-in formalities. Check-in at 16h 00 for flight ET 305 (Ethiopian Airlines) that departs Nairobi at 17.35 via Addis Ababa to arrive in Cairo at 01h 30 Am) Upon arrival ,meet and greet by our local representative, assistance through passport control procedures and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

DAY 02: PYRAMIDS/PERFUMERY/PAPYRUS FACTORY/OLD CAIRO

After breakfast drive to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the valley of the Temple and the Sphinx, visit to the perfumery and the papyrus factory, After lunch proceed to visit the hanging church (AL MUALLAQA) - was built in the 4th century over southern gate of the fortress of Babylon. dedicated to Virgin Mary, its treasures includes a 14th century wall painting of the Nativity, Church of St.Sergius (ABU SERGA) A 5th century basilica built over crypt where the Holy Family is believed to have stayed during their flight into Egypt, takes you a step deeper into the realization of the truth about the Messiah. Visit Church of St.Mercurius (ABU SEFEIN) - which boasts a unique collection of Coptic art including 175 icons that depict scenes from the old and new testaments, wall paintings, etching and stained. DAY 03: CAIRO

After breakfast visit the Egyptian Museum, and the old capital city of Egypt Memphis. After lunch Free time for Shopping and relaxing. According to legend related by Manetho, the city was founded by the pharaoh Menes. Capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it remained an important city throughout ancient Mediterranean history. It occupied a strategic position at the mouth of the Nile delta, and was home to feverish activity. Its principal port, Peru-nefer, harboured a high density of workshops, factories, and warehouses that distributed food and merchandise throughout the ancient kingdom. During its golden age, Memphis thrived as a regional centre for commerce, trade, and religion.

DAY 04: CAIRO/MT. SINAI

Early in the morning at 06.00 a.m. have breakfast and leave to drive through the desert to St. Katherine. Cross the Suez Canal to the other side of Egypt which is in the Asian Continent. Stop to view the Moses’ springs at Marrah, the place of the bitter waters, Elim where Israelites received Manna from heaven and Rephidim where they fought the Amalekites. Continue to St. Katherine which is at the foot of Mt. Sinai, and arrive at 4.00pm in good time to start the climb of Mt. Sinai where the Ten Commandments were revealed. After such a wonderful mountain trip start descending to be in the hotel in good time for dinner and overnight at Morgenland hotel or similar

DAY 05: MT. SINAI/TABA

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to visit the St. Katherine Monastery at the base of the Mt. Sinai. At this point, Moses went up to Mountain to receive the Ten Commandments. In the same area, there is the famous Greek Orthodox Monastery which is built around the Burning Bush, also visit the place where the Israelites camped when Moses went to receive the Ten Commandments. Start driving to the Taba Border with lunch en-route and on to Movenpick hotel or similar for Dinner and overnight

DAY 06: TABA/MASSADA/GALILEE

After breakfast drive to Taba the border crossing point. Cross the border to the Israel side. Meet and greet by our Israel local representative. After the immigration procedures, embark on a long distance drive to Massada driving through the city of Eilat, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. and a world heritage site. Ascend Massada by cable car to enjoy the beautiful view over the adjacent area from the top of the cliff and to enjoy visiting the palaces of Herod the Great. Beside you can experience the Jewish history with this site and understand the phrase Massada will not fall again. Here you can see how the Jews managed to resist the romans and not to surrender by committing su***de as a nation. Lunch at the Dead Sea area, we will also stop on the way to see Lot’s wife petrified into a salt statue around the S***m and Gomorrah area. Continue to the hotel in Galilee for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 07: NAZARETH/CANA/MT.TABOR/SEA OF GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/KIBBUTZ SHAAR HAGOLAN/MT. BEATITUDES/TABGHA

After breakfast, Drive to visit the Basilica of Annunciation where Angel Gabriel met Virgin mary and announced the birth of Jesus, continue to Cana to visit the Wedding Church, where Jesus performed His First Miracle, continue to Mt Tabor, the site of Transfiguration. Drive to Tiberius, to the town of Jesus Capernaum, where Jesus preached in the ancient Synagogue, take a Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, and visit the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus taught the Sermon on the mountain. (Matthew 5), visit Tabgha the site of multiplication of fish and bread, and St Peters’ Primacy where Jesus bestowed church leadership on Peter in Matthew 16:18. After Lunch drive to visit Kibbutz Sha ar Hagolan to see Crop farming. Here you can see how ideology, perfect organization, hard work and faith can turn the desert to a fertile land. Beside, you can be impressed from using the high technology in agricultural activities. In the evening Join in the first ever Holy Land international Choir Festival on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

DAY 08: JORDAN RIVER/MUHRAKA/CAESAREA/JOPPA

After breakfast drive to the Jordan river, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus, where you can also renew your baptismal vows. Drive to Haifa, visit the beautiful Bahai gardens, visit MUHRAKA where Elijah confronted the priests of Baal, also visit the Carmelite monastery Stella Maris (Mar Elias), where “Elijah’s Cave" can be seen. . Proceed to the ruins of the ancient Roman capital, Caesarea; (The amazing Herodian port cities) built by Herod the Great in 22 BC. We will see a Roman theater, aqueduct and Crusader fortress. Then drive to visit Jaffa (Joppa) the city named after Japheth, the son of the biblical Noah. The ancient port where Jonah left prior to being swallowed by the great fish, and where Peter had his housetop experience at the home of Simon the Tanner. Visit the house of Simon the Tanner Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem/Jerusalem

DAY 09: BETHLEHEM/JERUSALEM

Drive after breakfast to the Nativity Church, the Birth place of Jesus, visit the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds field, time to shop for wonderful Olive wood products in Bethlehem. After Lunch drive to Jerusalem to the Mountain of Olives for a wonderful panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. Tour the Mt. Olives the place where the Christian tradition maintains that, many events related to Jesus took place. Visit Pater Noster, the church of Ascension, Dominus Flevit and the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus on His last night underwent the most sorrowful hour of His passion, the hour in which He trembled in His nature, choosing to suffer and die on the cross, taking upon Himself the sins of all mankind. Visit Mt. Zion, the Upper House, where Jesus had the Last Supper with his disciples establishing the communion service, and St. Peter in Galicantu”Cock –crow”, built over the house of the high priest Caiaphas. Here St Peter wept at the crowing of the c**k in fulfilment of Christ’s words. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem/Jerusalem

DAY 10: JERUSALEM/JERICHO/DEAD SEA

Morning breakfast, and drive to Ein Karem, to visit St John’s Church and the Church of Visitation, where Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth, drive to the Old City of Jerusalem, and enter the City through the St. Stephen’s Gate. Visit the pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the man who had been crippled for 38 years (John 2: 2-9).Visit the well preserved crusader Church of St. Anne, where there is an opportunity to sing a hymn before walking along Via Dolorosa(The way of the Cross), following the Stations of the Cross. Visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where the Crucifixion of Jesus took place (Golgotha) and on to the empty Tomb (the Garden Tomb). After Lunch a little bit of time to shop in the old town and later visit the Western wall (The Wailing Wall). Later drive to Jericho to visit the Mountain of temptation and the Dead Sea for the unique experience of floating in these waters which have amazing healing powers. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem / Jerusalem.

DAY11: DEPARTURE TO NAIROBI

Early morning breakfast and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport – Tel Aviv for your flight back home.

Day 1: DEPARTURE NAIROBI / TEL AVIV

Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport at 3:40am, meet and greet by our local representative, assistance through passport control procedures and transfer to the hotel for overnight.

Day 2: MOUNT OLIVES

After a late breakfast drive to the Mount of Olives and enjoy a panoramic view of ancient and modern Jerusalem. Visit the Chapel of the Ascension, the Pater Noster where Jesus taught his disciples the Lord’s Prayer. Visit the Church of Dominius Flevit – where Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem Then walk down the Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane where he prayed the prayer of Agony and was betrayed by Judas.

Day3 – BETHLEHEM / EIN KAREM

After a late breakfast drive to Bethlehem the birthplace of Jesus. The town is dominated by the church of the Nativity, built on the grotto where Jesus is believed to have been born. Visit the Shepherd’s Field on the outskirts of Bethlehem where the angels appeared to the shepherds to announce the birth of Jesus. Visit Ein Kerem & the Visitation church.

• Return to your hotel dinner In Jerusalem.

Day 4– MT. ZION / OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

After breakfast visit to Mount Zion; Visit the Upper Room of the Last Supper and King David's Tomb. Next visit the church of St. Peter in Gallicantu built on the site of the house of the high priest Caiaphas, Enter the Old City. Walk through colourful bazaars. Visit to the Pool of Bethesda. Walk along the Via Dolorosa also called the way of the cross, Jesus' route from Pilate's judgment hall to Golgotha. Visit the Wailing Wall, the holiest site to the Jewish people.

• Holy Hour in Garden of Gethsemane
• Return to your hotel for an early dinner.

Day 5– QUMRAN / DEAD SEA / JERICHO

After breakfast, depart to Bethany and visit Lazarus Tomb. Proceed to Qumran, the remains of a desert settlement where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the Dead Sea - the lowest spot on earth for a unique floating and swimming experience. Continue to Jericho a flourishing oasis in the Judean Desert and the first city conquered by Joshua in the Promised Land. Enter the city and stop by the old Sycamore tree, believed to be the tree on which Zaccheaus climbed to see Jesus. View Mt. of Temptation.

Day 6 – MT. OF BEATITUDES / CAPERNAUM / BOAT RID

After breakfast, enjoy a Boat Ride on the Sea of Galilee – Time for Prayer & reflection. Drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Capernaum on the northwest shore where Jesus began his preaching career. The town is also well known during Second Temple, Roman and Byzantine periods. Continue to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Multiplication. Enjoy Fish Lunch at St. Peter's Restaurant.

Day 7- NAZARETH / CANA

Next drive to Nazareth and visit the Church of Annunciation which is one of the focal points in Nazareth. The church is built on the original Byzantine church and the crypt includes the cave of the Annunciation where the Angel Gabriel is said to have appeared to Mary. Afterwards stroll through the market area to visit the synagogue where Jesus is believed to have preached. Visit Cana, the site of the first Miracle where Jesus turned water into wine. Here you can celebrate the renewal of your marriage vows

Day 8- MT. TABOR / BAPTISM

After Breakfast, visit in *Mount Tabor* the site of the Transfiguration Church. Visit Baptismal Site – renewal of Baptismal vows for those who are interested.

Day 9 – MT. CARMEL / MEGIDDO / JAFFA / DEPARTURE
After Breakfast, Drive via Megiddo overlooking the Jezreel Valley – the Valley of Armageddon. Visit Mt. Carmel where Elijah defeated the Priests of Baal, and enjoy a breathtaking view of the north of Israel. Visit the Muhraka. Proceed to Jaffa for a tour of the oldest Sea Port in the world.
• Have a Farewell Dinner (19:30) in a local restaurant.
• Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport for the return flight ET
