Sometimes, the wisest way to see the world is through the wide, unfiltered eyes of a child.

In a world that often demands seriousness and speed, let’s not forget the value of slowing down, of asking “why?” and “what if?”

This Wednesday, join SEMA Toastmasters as *Toastmaster of the Day Paul Kavuma * takes us on a journey where we’ll rediscover the joy of being amazed, finding happiness in small things, laughing freely, and loving without condition.

🗓 Wednesday, 7th May 2025

By viewing life through a child’s lens, we remember how to live in the moment, find magic in the mundane, and lead with open hearts.

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve achieved President Distinguished Status! 🎉

This incredible feat was made possible by reaching 9 out of 10 goals in the Distinguished Club Program (DCP) for 2024-2025. (Let’s gun for 10/10)

This recognition, awarded at the Division B Conference, is a testament to our dedication. A huge thank you to our Executive Committee and all members for your hard work and engagement. 🙌

Am I the only one who constantly second-guesses themselves ? 🤔🤔
”Could I have done that better ?”
“Should I have said that differently?”
“Was that really good enough ?”

Do you find yourself stuck in this cycle of self-doubt, wondering if you could’ve done things differently ⁉️

Join SEMA Toastmasters Club upcoming meeting on :
🗓Wednesday, 2nd April, 2025

The Toastmaster of the Day Josephine Osumo will help us navigate these feelings of self-doubt and imperfection. Together, we’ll explore the idea that maybe, just maybe, our best is good enough.

Brené Brown says, ”Perfection is not the same thing as striving to be your best. Perfectionism is, at its core, about trying to earn approval.”

Let’s take a step back from our inner critics and focus on progress, not perfection. See you at the meeting !

A Heartfelt Thank You for an Inspiring Meeting!

Dear Team,

What an absolutely delightful and energizing meeting we had yesterday! We want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to each and every one of you for your invaluable contributions that made it such a resounding success.

Your remarkable ability to adapt to the changes that arose is a true reflection of the Toastmasters spirit, and it filled the room with positivity.

A special shoutout to Zumaridi for graciously hosting us, and to SEMA for your impressive turnout!

I’d like to recognize everyone who played a role in our gathering: our brilliant Toastmaster of the Day, Viviane Mike; our inspiring keynote speaker, Edwin Moindi ; our engaging Gamesmaster, David ; General Evaluator Lorna Abaki; our insightful speakers, Grace Njuguna and Derrick Mandela; our dedicated evaluators, Steve from and Princess Eguchi Vice President Education; Ah Counter Joyce; Timer Ngatia; Grammarian Faith; and ballot counter Velma Mareba. Your efforts were truly appreciated!

I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to President Rose, VPE Richard, AD Christine, and Nelly of Almasi for the hard work you put into preparing and hosting the event.

Wishing you all an abundance of “amara” — remember the meaning we learned in Igbo? May we all be blessed with it and continue to find the courage to break through any internal barriers on our paths to success!
