CELEBRATING A PERFECT EMBODIMENT OF INTEGRITY
Former Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain, Sir Francis Bacon stated that, "It is not what we profess in public, but where we walk and what we practice in secret that gives us integrity."
While a British writer,C.S. Lewis opined that "Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.”
Police Constable Ann Wanjiku Waigwa, who is currently serving at Wilson Airport perfectly personifies the aforementioned wise words.
PC Ann was on duty at Wilson Airport in the company of other airport staff, when a tourist dropped a bag containing 19,000 USD, financial cards and other valuables.
The bag was picked and kept at the airport, after which the tourist was contacted and collected the bag with its contents intact.
We celebrate Constable Ann and the colleagues who were on duty on the fateful day, for bringing honour to the National Police Service and the country by an act that embodied the virtues of warmth and honesty that defines the Kenyan people.
