January is the calving (birthday) season in Masai Mara. It is a Good time to see babies in the wild.
In February, Several babies of animals are born and the birth season carries in March.
Due to the low height of Grass, spotting the babies is relatively easy, and also parks are less busy.

SALAS BOYS!

Two of the Sala's boys Orkitok and Olepolos walking towards us. They were heading to deal with a few young males who were noted to breach their territory! That dramatic morning was packed with actions. Olepolos along with his brothers attacked 1/4 Sankai dispersed young nomads (sons of Olbarikoi & Olope), a serious warning to those youngsters who started scent-marking on Sala's territory - who is the boss for this land!

The young male was let go, luckily having the chance to live for another day. Simply a few days before this, three Salas boys joined together successfully chased another group of intruders - four of the five massive "Six Pack" (Bila Shaka males) - out of their sight. At the prime age of 7, Sala's boys are definitely one of the most formidable coalitions now in Mara, iron hands over their reign.
