When poachers target older elephants for their large tusks, they inevitably wipe out the wisest matriarchs and, with them, the decades of accumulated knowledge and experience that the survival of the entire herd depends upon.

But poaching of Africa’s remaining forest elephants threatens so much more than the herds themselves. With elephants acting as nature’s gardeners, whole ecosystems and rainforests rely on them to disperse seeds and soil nutrients, while maintaining natural pathways and clearings. Without able matriarchs, the future of the forests remains at risk, with devastating knock-on effects for many other species of plants and animals.

DAY ONE
7.00 Am Pick up and departure from Nairobi CBD Jevanjee Garden opposite Steers.
7.00 Am – 11.30 am Drive to Amboseli National Park.
11.30 am - 12.30 pm Check in the camp
12.30 Am – 2.00 pm Enjoy delicious lunch - vegetarian and non vegetarian.
2.00 pm - 6.30 pm Tour the Park: Wildlife includes Hundreds of elephants, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, Hippos, Buffalos, ostriches, antelopes and gazelles, Flamingos at Lake Amboseli, Hyenas, Lions (if lucky) among many other wildlife.
6.30 pm – 8.00 pm Enjoy Delicious Dinner with nyama choma.
8.00 pm TILL LATE BONFIRE/FREE TIME/ENTERTAINMENT
