Professional Tour Guides &Transporters is an indigenous “forward looking” Tours and Car hire Transport Company based at UniAfric House Koinange Street, Nairobi .All our car rental services are carbon free, we calculate the carbon foot print of the services and offset by planting trees in gazette forests at no extra costs to our customers.The Company is a relatively new concept in the tourism industry launched in the year 2007 with the prime goal of providing professional and tidy transport standards to all concerned parties in the industry. Some experienced personnel who are fruits of Kenya’s leading Tourism Training Institutions and who have gathered extensive knowledge in safari transport fields this concept

Are extremely well read, particularly in the field of wildlife, bird life, plants, cultures, eco systems, ecology and have ample field experience and excellent knowledge about photography. Have strong interpretation, communication and interpersonal skills. Are always team-players and interact well with your guests. Are always honest, gentle, smiling and helpful to your guests. Are always immaculately dressed in your company uniform, if provided and at all times during the safari. We have a standard plain khaki/jungle green uniform that can be used if you want. Time-conscious and understands hotel check-in and check-out procedures. Never drink alcohol while on safari and declines alcoholic offers from guests. Never use cell phone while driving or in presence of your guests. Always drive cautiously and carefully as they are courteous to other road users. Does not value tips to much and puts service delivery first. We have been providing tourism support to a clique of tour companies and related operators as well as Non-Profit making organisations (NGO’s) not to mention the transport services that have been the centre of our operations.
4. CONTINUED TRAINING OF STAFF
Towards our unmatched scale of professionalism, we decided to undertake several steps in order to ensure a unique systematic flow of professional services to our highly esteemed partners in the industry .All Professional Tour Guides & Transporters staff undertakes refresher courses in their relative professions plus a general one in Travel and Tourism at large, during low seasons. Utalii College, Career for Tourism Training Center and Research (CTTR) based at the Wildlife Clubs of Kenya Headquarters and Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) are namely our prime program organizers .This initiative has inevitably proved superior, as our personnel remain well informed in different trends that pioneer the industry, thus providing our partners with continued up to date services. All Professional Tour Guides & Transporters staffs are truly professionals not only due to the continue training (but thanks to their moral upbringing and unique approach to solution finding), eloquence and their “must novice” etiquette that has become the Professional Tour Guides & Transporters family tradition. Professional Tour Guides & Transporters has drivers with knowledge in different foreign intellectuals; mainly drivers and tour leaders and the main being French, Germany, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Chinese in addition of the fact that they all speak fluent English. We are currently in the final stages of implementing this new goal that we truly believe will remain a most important one for the players in the Industry .All our driver guides /tour leaders undergo first aid courses at the St. John’s Ambulance plus basic mechanic lessons and always refresh them during every low season period.
5. OUR VEHICLES
Professional Tour Guides & Transporters maintains a fleet of over 200 safari vans(mini-buses),60 Toyota land cruisers/rovers , 30 4x4 SUV’s (Toyota Rav 4s, Suzuki Grand Vitara’s),Overland Trucks,25 Toyota Prado’s TX,35 clean assorted cars available either on self drive or chauffer driven .In addition , we have 10 ‘air conditioned’ 25,33 and 51 coach buses for group movements ,safaris and excursions. We provide excellent back-up service in the field and we make replacements in time, should there be a need. All our minibuses are clean, dent free, well maintained with no dust inlets. They have comfortable seats fitted with seat belts. All the vehicles are fully air conditioned and fitted with a high frequency H/F radio with a radius of 5,450 km , fully stocked first aid kit, Kenya and East Africa Maps, a range of Jonathans Scotts’ Field guide books, a cooler box, ashtrays , 2 spare wheels , mud guard , a shovel, a panga a tow rope and basic tool box. All our operations are on a 24-hour basis.
