Ethiopian Launches Daily Flight to New York City

Addis Ababa, November 29, 2024 (Addis Walta) Ethiopian Airlines commenced daily flight to New York City as of December 1, 2024.

The new schedule will increase the Airlines flight frequencies from 4 times a week to daily flight service between Addis Ababa and New York, per Ethiopian Airlines announcement.

Including daily flight to Washington D.C. the airlines flies to Chicago, Newark, New York, and Atlanta

Ethiopian Airlines is Africa's largest airline and operates over 270 flights per day to many international destinations using ultra-modern and environmentally friendly fleet.

Ethiopia is constructing a £5 billion "Mega Airport City," expected to be Africa’s largest airport and one of the busiest worldwide.

The new airport, located near Bishoftu, 25 miles from Addis Ababa, will handle up to 110 million passengers annually upon its completion in 2029. The ambitious project, led by Ethiopian Airlines in collaboration with Dar Al-Handasah Consultants, features a cutting-edge terminal and four runways.

Currently, Addis Ababa's Bole International Airport, situated 2,334 meters above sea level, faces congestion as Ethiopia cements its status as a global aviation hub.
