Amboseli National Park is a gem that captures the heart of every visitor. Despite sometimes bustling with game-viewing vehicles, its charm is undeniable. The journey from Nairobi is a breeze thanks to the newly paved C102 road, leading you right into the heart of this wildlife haven. Once you’ve arrived, navigating the park is easy, with a fantastic selection of accommodations ranging from cosy Kenya Wildlife Service campsites to luxurious 5-star safari lodges.
What truly makes Amboseli special is the abundance of wildlife all around you. The animals are relaxed and accustomed to the presence of vehicles, which allows for incredible up-close encounters. You’ll marvel at the magnificent elephants and buffalo gracefully wading through the lush marshes, and you’ll be captivated by the sight of thousands of herbivores dotting the open plains near Ol Tukai, where I had the pleasure of staying with my clients.
Don’t miss the spectacular views from Observation Hill, offering breathtaking sights of the emerald-green Enkongo Narok swamps. While predator sightings might be less frequent, they’re out there if you keep your eyes peeled. I’ve had the thrill of watching a lioness leading her cubs to a stream for a drink and a family of cheetahs stealthily surveying the savannah for their next meal.
And then there’s Kilimanjaro—an imposing giant that often hides behind a veil of clouds. Those rare moments at sunrise or sunset when the clouds lift can be truly magical.
I would love for you to join me on the extraordinary “My Safari With A Cause” tour, where we’ll explore four of Kenya’s most stunning destinations together. Picture intimate group adventures designed just for you, filled with memories you’ll treasure forever!
