Hells gate National park was gazetted in 1984.An hour drive from the capital city Nairobi. Despite its alarming title ,Hells gate provides the ideal venue for a day trip from Nairobi, a truly panoramic picnic spot or an evocative camping stop over.Cleft deep into the floor of the Rift Valley, this relatively small park provides endless biodiversity and is one of the only two Kenyan parks that allo

w walking or cycling without an official es**rt. Spectacular scenery including towering cliffs, water gouged gorges,stark rock towers,scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam makes it one of the most atmospheric parks in Africa.
