The wildebeest migration is one of the new wonders of the world. It is a phenomenon where over 1.3 million white-bearded wildebeests move between the Maasai Mara National Reserve and Serengeti Plains through the Mara River. The great migration also involves over 500,000 Zebras and carnivores that follow suit making it the largest remaining overland migration in the world. The first crossing takes place from late July to August when the wildebeests migrate from Serengeti Plains to the Maasai Mara. The second crossing takes place from late October to early November when the wildebeest cross from the Maasai Mara and back to the Serengeti Plains....

The Marabou Stork is one of the largest storks in the world, with a height of up to 5 feet and a wingspan of 10 feet. It has a featherless and wrinkled head, which varies in colour from pink to grey. This large and powerful bird eats mainly carrion and scraps but will opportunistically eat almost any animal matter it can swallow. They break through the thick hides of large, deceased mammals with their powerful beak. This helps to speed up the decomposition process and allows for other weaker scavengers to have access to the carcass.
