On last month’s issue of the Laikipia Wildlife Forum's Forum Focus, we wrote about the resuscitation of the tourism sector and the efforts towards vaccinating frontline workers in our tourism sector.
Though these efforts are commendable, the association will continue with its lobbying efforts in the hope that our County Government of Laikipia and our Ministry of Tourism And Wildlife - Kenya will prioritize the vaccination of region's sector once the next doses arrive.

5,000 frontline workers in the hospitality sector will get the COVID-19 vaccine in the 1st phase of a vaccination campaign, starting Wednesday, 21st April 2021, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.
We had suggested that the Vaccination campaign could be a potential silver lining for our sector in our March issue of Laikipia Wildlife Forum's newsletter.

•We also work with the county government to create an enabling environment for sustainable tourism. Our primary focus is a public-private partnership and to provide leadership in the identification, development and use of sustainable approaches, tools and technologies in the greater Laikipia tourism sector.
