Black mambas are both terrestrial and arboreal creatures. On the ground, they move with their head and neck raised, and typically use termite mounds, abandoned burrows, rock crevices, and tree cracks as shelter. Black mambas are solitary; they are diurnal and tend to bask in the morning and again in the afternoon. They may return daily to the same basking site. Skittish and often unpredictable, Black mambas are agile and can move quickly. In the wild, they seldom tolerate humans approaching more closely than about 40 meters (130 ft). When mambas perceive a threat, they retreat into the brush or a hole. When confronted they are likely to engage in a threat display, gaping to expose their black mouth and flicking their tongue. They may also hiss and spread their neck flap. During the threat display, any sudden movement by the intruder may provoke the snake into performing a series of rapid strikes, leading to severe envenomation. The Black mamba's reputation for being ready to attack is exaggerated; it is usually provoked by perceived threats such as the blocking of its movements and the ability to retreat.

Servals are solitary except when it's mating period and mothers with kittens. Males and females come together for a few days when the female is in heat; she alerts males in the area with short and sharp calls or long yowls. After about two and half months, the kittens are born in a den or burrow.
Servals have the longest legs of any other cat in relative to there body size.

Among other animal species crocodile ambush their prey as they drink from the water’s edge or bath. Crocodiles are able to kill some large mammals such as zebras, wildebeests and even human beings. Once it has caught its prey, a crocodile will then drag it into the water and drown it. It eats its prey by biting off large chunks of meat and swallows them whole. Kaleku safari's tells it all💫💫

Today early morning, I packed up and started my journey on foot with my binoculars, some data sheets, a clab as usual, and a few personal belongings and traveled around a small forested farm called"inkampin oolarroi" meaning the buffalo's camp's, where I encountered more than 50 species of birds, just to name a few:
*Barefaced go- away bird(orrkitok sirua )
*Malachite and the pied kingfisher
*Forked tail dragon(orrkurrdudui)
*Cisticolas(entiitit)
*Yellow bishop
*Common bulbul(olenayeku)
*Purple grenadia(entuala
Among many others and soon we'll be enjoying watching them while on a tour 🤞

During June, the dry season starts with large concentrations of wildebeest in the Western Serengeti and on the southern banks of the Grumeti River. Each migrating animal must face the challenge of crossing the crocodile-infested river — the first of many daunting and tense river encounters.

As June moves into July, the hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra continue to head north along the western edge of the park toward an even riskier barrier: the Mara River in the north of the Serengeti. These river crossings are arguably one of the most exciting wildlife events on Earth. They usually begin at the onset of high season in July, but timing all depends on nature.
Remember it's happening now the magical Maasai Mara 🤩🤩

Lions hunt either collaboratively or by themselves. Collaborative hunting usually involves the males approaching the intended prey upwind with the intention of driving it towards lionesses hiding in the bush downwind or freely in the plains. Lions are not as fast as most of their prey so they rely heavily on the element of surprise when hunting.

They will attempt to get to within 30m of their prey before charging. They don't have the inclination for a long chase and will not pursue their prey very far if the first attack fails.
Lions kill's by strangulating 😍 a nice view from Maasai Mara

BAGWORMS UNDER ORDER LAPIDOPTERA

The word bagworms refers to the habit of larva, which build protective bag and hide inside it,the bag is made up of twigs, pebbles and leaves depending on specie.the common specie of bagworm is Oil Palm in Malaysia.
Bagworms undergo complete metamorphosis, male have wings, legs and antennae like a comb structure,no mouthparts and mostly are nocternal, the female moth is wingless and legless no antennae and eyes mostly remaining in larval cases.
During mating season female releases pheromones to attract male and males flies around to search for female. He find female inside the bag and mating continues as the bag opens(incredible).
After mating female returns back to it's larval case and lay eggs to about 500 inside the bag and often dies.
Larvae hatch and start to construct their own bag and stick their head to feed on larvae and plants, the larva continues feeding till its matured.
They carry the bag around whenever they go after mature.it attaches the bag they're in the a branch of a tree with a strand of a silk and start developing into pupa.

Let me enchant you with this image of an African largest eagle✊✊

Don't hesitate it's the Martial eagle mainly found in sub saharan Africa,a bird of prey so majestic with lively perttern covering the wings and underbelly, you can watch their flights for hours as they spend there time soaring and roaming the skies but this all to scope their prey.

Believe it or not, they descend swooping at a frightening speed down onto their prey, carrying off venomous 🐍, jackals and antelopes

This's one of africas most incredible hunters, yet they're endangered and disappearing from the world.
They can carry four legged animals and farmers have been known to shoot them for stealing their newborn livestock.their talons can literally break your arm even if they don't have the power to carry the person into the air 😂😂
They are the fifth heaviest eagle in the world with a wingspan of 2.6m.in comparison, this's a giraffe

Elephants have small eyes and hence have a poor eyesight and due to that they have a very smart scent smell they can smell water at a far distance of even 12miles.
Elephants communicate using, sounds, touch and scent 🤞🤞 their hearing is excellent (they can hear trumpet at about 5miles away) they're a belived to be so caring animals.
Elephants perform special ceremonies whenever one of the group members returns after being away for a long period of time and they sometimes hug by wrapping their trunks together elephants are able to recognize themselves using mirrors which only an ape can do ✊✊
Elephants are able to recognize and defferentiate human being whether a male or female whether they are friendly or associated with danger.they are however terrified by bees and ants not the mice ✍️✍️
