We were honored to have the stunning Nachipaï pay us a visit at Mara Major Camp, accompanied by her four adorable cubs! It brings us immense joy to see how much they’ve grown and, most importantly, that they’re all still thriving!

A huge shoutout to the incredible rangers of the Maasai Mara Reserve for their extraordinary efforts in protecting these beautiful cheetah babies since their birth. Your dedication makes a world of difference! 🙌❤️

Quel merveilleux cadeau de Noël pour notre camp cet après-midi

La magnifique Nachipaï nous a fait l’honneur de passer nous rendre visite au Mara Major Camp avec ses quatre petits. Heureux de voir qu’ils ont grandi et surtout qu’ils soient tous encore en vie !
Les rangers de la réserve du Maasai Mara ont fait un travail de protection extraordinaire depuis la naissance de ces 4 splendides bébés guépards.
Merci la vie !

Au revoir Luluka, cette splendide femelle léopard que j'admire, à eu 2 magnifiques bébés que je n'ai pas eu la chance de photographier cette fois ci !
Son secteur est relativement loin de mon camp MARA MAJOR CAMP, ce qui fait que son observation est beaucoup plus courte que sur Faulu, Olopono, Akira et les autres, à bientôt ma belle.

Photographier une chasse de lions, c’est presque comme capturer une girafe à la course : mille fois plus facile que de suivre un guépard à pleine vitesse. Les lions, ces gros paresseux, plafonnent à 70 km/h (sur une courte distance, évidemment), alors que le guépard, véritable bolide de la savane, file à 110 km/h en un éclair. Les proies non plus ne sont pas les mêmes : le lion, avec son petit 70 km/h, s’en prend souvent aux buffles, qui eux, sprintent mollement à 60 km/h. C’est donc une belle école pour les apprentis photographes de safaris. Les lions, moins pressés, offrent une chasse plus “zen”, où l’obturateur peut tranquillement s’ajuster (1/1500 s suffit), alors qu’il faut passer en mode turbo (1/3200 s) pour suivre un guépard en action. Cette fois-ci, le buffle a été sauvé par son troupeau, qui a mis en déroute les six lionnes déjà prêtes à goûter leur festin. La scène était si pittoresque que cette lionnes m’a lancé un regard surpris, comme si elle me disait : « T’es vraiment en train de me photographier là ? Sérieux ? Allo quoi !».
