Newly born dwarf mongoose at Governors' Camp - the latest addition to our wonderful cast of characters!
Many of you will remember these furry fellows scurrying about the camp grounds; here is the next generation already taking their first look at the outside world! Turn up the volume 🤗
Thanks to Will Fortescue for the video.
Some Saturday lunchtime entertainment for our guests as the wildebeest attempt to cross a rather deep bend in the Mara River, directly in front of Governors Camp! Thank you to camp manager Nicholas Ledama for sending in the video.

How about this for your early morning wake up call?
Like all our Mara camps, Governors Camp is immersed in the wild and completely unfenced, so don't be surprised if you find a six ton elephant enjoying an early morning feed right outside your door, just as you attempt to head off for your first game drive of the day!
This was indeed the rather awkward scenario for our resident photographer this morning, Will Fortescue, who decided to hold back and film the ongoing dining experience from the safety of his room!

Table for two please!
As always, the elephants arrive just in time for lunch - these two were part of a much bigger herd that had crossed the river and came up the bank, and walked out across to the plains.

Such a sweet little video of lioness and her cubs playing fondly with each other. Make sure you have the sound up to catch their tiny cries!
Video sent by our in-house professional photographer William Fortescue who is currently at Governors Camp. Will is on hand to help with any photography assistance that you might require - why not ask him to join you on a game drive to help capture your best safari wildlife moments!

"Oh, the aim of our patrol is a question rather droll,
..for to march & drill, over field & hill"
..right back to Governors Camp.
This lovely herd of elephants are the same herd that recently brought a new baby in to the Mara world outside one of our Governors tents just over a week ago.
Wonderful to welcome them all into camp during breakfast this morning.

Elephants in Camp
There is a family herd of 8 elephants and one baby who come into Governors Camp every day at the moment. They move through the forest around the camps feeding, moving out onto the plains to feed during the day, returning to the safety of the camp at night. Blossom in Camp
Good morning from Governors Camp! This morning Blossom strolled into
Camp at breakfast time. We’ve lived like this for over 40 years and it still gives us a thrill to see wild elephants moving freely through the camp. Film courtesy of Abigail Leslie, Governors Camp.
