In a bid to Promote Kenyan talent by showcasing talent in Nyeri, Promote Kenya Ltd in partnership with the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce, Wera Space, Avantuah Ventures, Gee Twist Films and other partners would like to take this opportunity to invite you to an eventful evening of beautiful experiential lights, good food, entertainment, cocktails, barbeque and an OPEN CINEMA EXPERIENCE - an Outdoor Movie Screening Experiential event of Short Films produced in Nyeri under the tag : ''From Nyeri with Love"

on the 19th November 2022 at the Nyeri Club Grounds.

The movie will have 3 screenings:

1. The first show to begin at 1600hrs.

2. While the second one shall be 1800hrs.

3. Third screening at 2000hrs.

The films, directed by John Waiganjo of Gee Twist Films are:

*Tourism promotion for the formation of a national platform for tour guides in Kenya*

The Directorate of Tourism and Culture of Nyeri County hosted the CEO, Mr. Kennedy Kaunda cc, and the Patron, Dr. Kefa Bosire from the East Africa Tour Guides and Drivers Association (EATGDA). The team is visiting counties across the country to sensitize them about the formation of a national platform for professional tour guides.
During the meeting, the office of the Director was briefed about the visit to Kwale county meeting with the officials and CEC.
The team has separately met representatives of Tour guides from Kwale, Mombasa, and Malindi County. They have also had consultative meetings with tourism officials in Kilifi County.
Prior to the visit to the Nyeri County office, the team had completed the sensitization with officials of Mt. Kenya guides and Porters club in Naro Moru.
During this visit, the director shared the county's initiatives in the promotion of culture and heritage and training of guides among other actions.
The deliberations of the meeting identified the need to profile guides in Nyeri County, to help get representatives to attend the meeting at TRA related to the National Tour Guides platform, and to collaborate on the development of Tourism in the county. The county will also take steps to fast-track policies to support and grow the guide’s profession. This initiative will create a platform for supporting SMEs based in our county. It will also be an avenue for youth job creation which in the long-term has a ripple effect on the economy.

Today serves as a reminder to everyone of of the importance of the oceans in daily life. They are the planet's lungs, a major source of food and medicine, and an essential component of the biosphere. It is what purifies the air we breathe.

The goal of the Day is to educate the public about the effects of human activities on the ocean, to create a global campaign of ocean citizens, and to mobilize and unite the world's population in efforts to conserve and address climate change.
