5 Facts about baby elephants…
🐘 They will suck their trunk just as a human baby might suck its thumb. By about 6
to 8 months, calves begin learning to use their trunks to eat and drink.
🐘Both male and female elephants have tusks, which start to grow in after baby
elephants lose their primary teeth in their first year of life.
🐘 Elephants are born with curly black or red hair on their foreheads
🐘 Just like children lose their milk teeth, baby elephants lose their tusks in the same way
🐘They are born with an almost fully developed brain
🐘 Like humans, baby elephants eyes can be different colours. Dark brown, light brown, honey, and grey are the most prevalent eye hues.

I have no words for what i’m seeing, this kind of behavior is disgusting. Too many people forgot that these are wild animals just existing, they are not here for our amusement. We are extremely lucky to able observe them in their environment but that does not give us the right to behave in such ways. At the end of the day these are WILD animals.
The worst part of all of it is that if something happened it would be Kijana who would be blamed. We would hear the story of a “lion attacking people on safari” not that “a lion reacted as a wild animal after being repeatedly disturbed by people”. If Kijana had reacted more aggressively it could have very well ended in his death. This is not a funny video and such behavior should be tolerated under no circumstances.
Successful wildebeest hunt for one of the young lioness. This female in particular is a very accomplished hunter, we’ve seen her capable of hunting on her own for a couple months now.
The male let out a growl at the onlookers, clearly unimpressed with the audience during his courtship. His injured eye added an extra layer of intensity, making his warning look even more intimidating!
