We love the view of Mt. Kenya on a clear sunny day. 😍 Our favorite would have to be from Timau where you get to see all three peaks. Second pic is a view of the Mountain from Burguret.

Their escape in July is to Samburu! Home of the oryx, gerenuk and the grevy’s zebra among many others.

The trip will see them depart from Nanyuki early morning and head north, with the beautiful view of the sunrise across the Kisima Plains and a closeup view of Mt. Kenya on a clear morning.

They’ll drive further North, past Isiolo at Archers post branch left towards Samburu National reserve. Enjoy a Gamedrive until the early afternoon in search of the bounties this majestic place has to offer.

In the afternoon, you’ll have a picnic lunch and a dip at Buffalo springs.

Then later have a late afternoon Game-drive and a glass of wine as a sundowner then travel back to Nanyuki.

It’s World Environment Day and we’d like to celebrate the efforts of our local Laikipians, who play their part in reducing and recycling waste material as well as earn a living through the trade. The community based recycling center in the heart of Nanyuki, in the Majengo area, not only employs locals but is primarily run by women.

They sort, crash, shred and compress the trash collected and dropped at the center. Then send it down to Nairobi for processing. These locals are our hero’s for World Environment Day and we’d like to celebrate them by sharing what they do and if you’re ever in need of where to recycle your trash in Nanyuki then ask for George (Maina), Stan (Mwangi), or Robert. We’d love to help them keep doing their job in a safe environment so feel free to drop any donations of gloves, masks or First Aid Kits next time you drop your recycling.
