The weving art is a common traditional practice among the communities in the South Coast. It is a prectice that has come a long way in many generations and most.handcrafts that are locally produced are made from locally sourced natural fibers like Ukindu, ukonge and Miaa.

The weving comprises of intertwining of finely sliced fibers that are somtimes dyed in differnt colors and follows specific parterns to give the final product a brilliant finish.
