Happy World Rhino Day! We have been blessed to have had some incredible close encounters with Rhino, from bottle feeding little Ringo, to encouraging Sudan and Nanji using our bumper as a scratching pole! Never take anything for granted. Rhinos are critically endangered, and it is up to us to secure their future in this crazy harsh world!

On the road again. Not a bad way to start our Livingstone to Nairobi guided self drive. Sunset cruise on the Zambezi with giraffes, elephants, crocs, hippos, egyptian geese and a magnificent king fisher.

And that is a wrap! Our first guided self drive expedition since Covid done and dusted. Finished with the Victoria Falls, watched the Aussies beat France in the Women's World Cup and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Royal Livingstone. Tonight is a sunset cruise on the Zambezi.

Two amazing teams! Ol Pejeta and Sheldricks. What these projects achieve is outstanding, truly standing by and protecting Kenya's wildlife and often against the odds. Kudos.

Some fantastic news from Sheldrick Trust's Nairobi Nursery as orphaned black rhino Raha is now eating solids and is starting to put on weight!

Almost a year on since the Ol Pejeta team found her abandoned and severely injured, this little miracle rhino continues to bravely battle through everything and has made a big step in her recovery.

A big thank you to Sheldrick Wildlife Trust for doing such an amazing job of looking after her!

Today is World Zebra Day (31 January)!!! Some of you may be wondering why email responses may be taking a little longer than usual. It's because we are caring for 12 adults and 2 new borns taking refuge on our property just south of Nairobi, Kenya. As the worst drought in over 40 years continues we are busy carting hay, filling water drums, 40km round trips to buy the best hay in Kiserian and shovelling poo off our patio!

If you can't go on safari, bring the safari to you!
