It's official. The humpback whales have arrived in Kenya. The second sighting of the week. The first in Watamu on Monday and today in Kisite National Marine Park and Reserve in southern Kenya. 🐋🐳👀

Our eagle eyed citizen scientist Captain Juma took this photo of the fast moving whale at Mpunguti Island today. With all eyes on the ocean Captain Faridi reported at the same time.

These sightings collected by you the general public have contributed to a huge amount of important information over the last 13 years on all species of dolphin and whale (and dugong) in Kenya.
