Attention! From December 1, 2021 all people must have a PCR test to travel to Kyrgyzstan. Even if you are vaccinated, you must still have a negative PCR test done no later than 72 hours before arrival.

Kyrgyzstan allowed foreigners to visit Kyrgyzstan with a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 or with a negative PCR test. The relevant decision was made on June 8, 2021, by a joint order of the involved government agencies (Ministry of Health, Department of Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Border Guard Service, Ministry of Transport, and Manas Airport).
According to the newly approved Algorithms of Action to prevent the entry and spread of coronavirus infection, when arriving in the territory of Kyrgyzstan it is necessary to have:
- negative PCR test results, with a period not exceeding 72 hours from the time of sampling the test,
- or a document certifying receipt of a vaccine against coronavirus COVID-19 (in paper or digital format).
The same rules apply to children 5 years of age and older.
The COVID-19 vaccination document is applicable if recognized by Kyrgyzstan in the statutory procedure or on reciprocal principles.
Vaccinated travelers may arrive by air beginning June 19, 2021, and by land beginning June 12, 2021.

Кыргызстан чет өлкөдөн келген жүргүнчүлөрдү, анын ичинде туристтерди COVID-19 илдетине каршы вакцина алганы тууралуу күбөлүк же терс ПЧР-тесттин жыйынтыгы менен кабыл алат.

Мындай чечим тиешелүү мамлекет органдарынын (Салататтыкты сактоо министрлиги, ТИМ, Чек ара кызматы, Туризм департаменти, Минтранс жана «Манас» аэропорту) буйругунун негизинде 2021 жылдын 8 июнунда кабыл алынды.

Ага ылайык:
Коронавирус илдетин алдын-алуу жана жайылтпоо максатында, Кыргызстандын аймагына кирген жүргүнчүлөргө төмөнкү талаптар коюлат:

- соңку 72 саат аралыгындагы терс ПЧР-тесттин жыйынтыгы,

- же COVID-19 илдетине каршы вакцина алганы тууралуу күбөлүк (кагаз же электрон форматта).

Ушул эле талаптар 5 жаштан жогору балдарга тиешелүү.
Вакцинация алган жүргүнчүлөр үчүн бул эрежелер 2021 жылдын 19 июнунан тартып күчүнө кирет.

Кыргызстан разрешил иностранным гражданам посещать Кыргызстан с сертификатом вакцинации от COVID-19 или с отрицательным ПЦР-тестом. Соответствующее решение принято 8 июня 2021 года совместным приказом задействованных государственных органов (Минздрав, Департамент туризма, МИД, Погранслужба, Минтранс и аэропорт «Манас»).

Согласно новым утвержденным Алгоритмам действий по недопущению завоза и распространения коронавирусной инфекции, при прибытии на территорию Кыргызстана при себе необходимо иметь:

- отрицательные результаты ПЦР-теста, срок которых не превышает 72 часа с момента отбора проб анализа,

- или документ, удостоверяющий получение вакцины против коронавируса COVID-19 (в бумажном или цифровом формате).

Эти же правила действуют на детей от 5 лет.

Документ, удостоверяющий получение прививки от COVID-19, применяется в случае признании Кыргызстаном в установленном законом порядке или на взаимных принципах.

Вакцинированные туристы могут прибывать с 19 июня 2021 года воздушным сообщением, а наземным – с 12 июня 2021 года.

April 26 is the Day of the capital Bishkek.
It turns 143 years.

"The city was founded in 1878 as a village on the site of the former Kokand fortress of Pishpek, which in 1926 was renamed Frunze in memory of the Soviet party and military leader M.V. Frunze.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union and Kyrgyzstan's independence, the question arose of renaming the capital. It turned out that the etymology of the original name "Pishpek" is unknown; the closest to this name was the Kyrgyz word "bishkek" - "stick for mixing "kymys". Bishkek was adopted as the new name of the capital in 1991."

The government of Kyrgyzstan proposes to include nine more countries in the visa-free list for up to 60 days:
- Albania;
- Bulgaria;
- Vietnam;
- Israel;
- Republic of Cyprus;
- North Macedonia;
- Romania;
- Thailand;
- Mexico.

A visa-free regime for up to 60 days is currently valid for citizens of 52 countries of the world.

“Manaschi” is a storyteller of Manas’ life.
The Epos Manas is the longest poem in history, which tells of the formation of the Kyrgyz people.
The super-hero of the poems is the khan, or batyr, Manas-strong, brave and a born leader.
This is how manaschi (akyn or bard) improvises from the Manas cycle of legends.
The are a lot of mysteries around who and how manaschi becomes. It’s known that almost all famous storytellers “meet” the spirits of the heroes of the epic in a dream and even in reality. Glamor haunts future manaschi until they completely surrender themselves to this art. This is one of the most mysterious phenomena accompanying storytelling skills.

Kalpak is traditional men’s hat.
“Ak” in Kyrgyz language is not only white color, but also, meaning of purity and holiness. It sews with 4 pieces of wool, which reminds 4 elements: water, fire, air, earth.

Kichi-Kemin valley is quite popular place for visiting. Winter recreation development is planned here. Two years ago ski resort Ak-Tyz has started working. One more ski base is in plans. Trails are going through the forest. Slopes have many variations.

The new location for tourists mostly from Bishkek and nearby is Arakel Lake.
It’s situated in Naryn region, Kochkor area. Lake covered with ice.
Local people organized small business. Possible to take for rent: skates, handmade sleigh, to take a horse for the ride, or even grunting ox.
The interest is comparable to watching Osh market life. Special and unique place.

The Winter season in Kyrgyzstan officially has started.
Karakol Ski Resort announced the opening of the season passed weekend of November 28-29, Too Ashuu ski base opened one week earlier.
It was snowing all weekend even in the capital.

In general, it is not usual to visit mosques like a tourist in Kyrgyzstan. But it’s allowed.
Republican Central Mosque named after Imam Al Sarakhsi is one of the biggest in Central Asia.
The mosque was built in the style of the architecture of the Ottoman Empire. It reminds the Blue Mosque in Istanbul. The height of each of the four minarets is 70 meters. The total area is 3.5 hectares. It can accommodate 8 thousand people inside, and throughout the territory - up to 20 thousand.
It opened on September 2, 2018. The opening was held by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish side provided financing. In 2012, 25 million US dollars were allocated for construction.

Snowshoeing is a mixture of mountain hiking🏔 and skiing🎿; winter activity of moving on the snow using special equipment - snowshoes.
This type of activity makes difficult winter access much easier.
