CHEMS’ mission is to improve Cambodians’ health and prosperity by providing accurate and appropriate information and education through mass and social media, direct communication, advocacy and events. The organization is well known for its entertaining, interactive and empowering radio and television programs addressing health and social issues. It also holds regular forums and events across the c

ountry. The organization has extensive experience working at community level, specializing in capacity building, interactive community and focus groups, community theatre, public forums and conferences. CHEMS believes multimedia is a powerful tool for reinforcing important messages and, combined with community outreach, is highly effective in reaching the most vulnerable populations to affect change in people’s knowledge, attitudes and behaviors. Our organization has a long history of working cooperatively with government (including NCDD), NGOs and community groups at the grassroots level to achieve results and create opportunities. In the past CHEMS has worked closely with the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Women’s Affairs, various technical working groups, national and international NGOs and funding agencies, UN agencies, youth and adult national peer group networks and focus groups. All cooperation is conducted with a participatory and non-discriminatory approach to maximize partnership benefits and outputs; and to pave the way for future mutually beneficial partnerships.
