PhotoPhnomPenh Festival is back! Here are our program of the 5 Inauguration Days and The Photo Exhibition that last for whole month of February:
SATURDAY 31 JANUARY at 2.30PM @ French Institute
OPENING + PHOTO TUK TUK TOUR
Let's meet on Saturday 31 January for PPP opening!
- Presentation of the festival by PPP's team and PPP's partners
- Photo tuk-tuk tour: 40 tuk-tuk will take you on a tour of PPP indoors exhibitions (Bophana Center, Java Café, La Plantation, X-Em La Galerie, Romeet Gallery, Chinese House). Start and return at the French Institute (no reservation, subject to avaibility).
Meeting with Ruud van Empel
SUNDAY 1 FEBRUARY at 2.30pm @ French Institute's Movie Theater
Photos screening followed by Q&A with photographer Ruud van Empel (in English, translation in Khmer and French)
SUNDAY 1 FEBRUARY at 4pm @ French Institute
The 2nd part of the Photo Tuk tuk Tour will take you to the outdoors exhibitions (Sisowath Quay, Central Market, Royal University of Fine Arts, French Embassy).

Exhibition opening + Screening + Concert
MONDAY 2 FEBRUARY at 6.30pm @ RUPP
Opening of the exhibitions at Royal University of Phnom Penh, and photo screening on the topic: "Women Photographers", with live music by Phare Ponleu Selpak's band!
Meeting with Corinne Vionnet
TUESDAY 3 FEB. at 11.30pm Institute's Movie Theater
Photographer Corinne Vionnet will present her artistic works and method.

INTERSECTION Evening
TUESDAY 3 FEB. at 6.30pm @ French Institute
Supported by the European Union, the Intersection project invites 4 Cambodian photographers to engage in a "photographic dialogue" with 4 photographers from other Asian countries and from Europe, on topics related to the city of Phnom Penh. The Intersection screening will present those dialogues and be followed by a discussion with the participants.
WEDNESDAY 4 FEB. at 6.30pm @ French Institute's movie theater
Discussion in French and Khmer, translation: ENG, FR, KH
This discussion will bring together photographers Charlie Jouvet, Kim Hak and Mak Remissa, whose works echo the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Khmer Rouge takeover of Phnom Penh, as well as photographer Émeric Lhuisset, who works on the memory of conflicts.
WEDNESDAY 4 FEB. at 8.00pm @ Garden of the French Institute
This concert is a musical way to close a 5-days series of photography events. Let's meet at the French Institute to enjoy the smooth and swinging beat of Tamaraka band. Images from the past editions of PPP festival will be screened in the garden during this evening.
