My name is Nuon Chansarak. My family name is Nuon and Chan means Monday, the day I was born. Sarak is the first name that I am called, so please call me Sarak. I finished high school in Siem Reap in 1998, and in 1999 I started my first job in Raffles Grand Hotel in Siem Reap. I worked as a bartender and also as a waiter in the Food and Beverage department. Then two years later in 2001 I went to wo

rk in FCC in Siem Reap, the Foreign Correspondent Club. There my title was Bar Supervisor. Again, two years later in 2003 I moved to work in Victoria Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap where I was Bar Manager. Then two years later in 2005 I went to work in Hotel de La Paix, which now is the Hyatt in Siem Reap. Here I was Bar Manager again. Then in 2006 I quit my job working in the hotel because I wanted to see the outside world. I took the exam to become a tour guide for Angkor so I could start my new job as an English speaking tour guide a year later. I have worked for hotels, guesthouses, and other tour agencies, giving tours to couples, families, and small and big groups alike to visit temples not only in Siem Reap but in other parts of Cambodia as well such as Phnom Penh, Battambong, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Sihanukville, Preah Vihear, and others. Now I also have my own website on Tripadvisor so my clients can write reviews about my services on there. Then I eventually can have my own clients contact me to be their tour guide there too. I can also help those clients get an excellent tour guide when I can’t take the tour with them. I also like photography. Every time I take a tour I always take great pictures for my clients. Now I have a Nikon 3200D, so I bring it along with me on the tour and can take some pictures of my clients and upload them into my dropbox and share the link with them, and then they can download their photos from my dropbox for souvenirs. Siem Reap itself is rich in history and it's not a place where one get to absorb all by just wandering on your own - hence you have my teamBelow is my guide team. A full-day Angkor Complex trip with Guide Sarak
Sarak is very well-informed. He knows the history, and for those looking for a good shot, he knows where best to take snaps. If you would like to know more about Angkor Wat, get Sarak as your guide. He is in general a very friendly person. I do recommend that you go with Sarak on a private tour. If I were to return I'd make that arrangement. I was in a group of 8. It's alright, but it would have been better if there were only two guests, I reckon. So, I highly recommend Sarak's guidance.

Sarak has guided us for 6 days from Siem Reap and Agwor temples to the remote temples of Kho Ker, Preah Vilear and to Phnom Penh.
Sarak has very good knowledge of sites, history, art and religion. He is a very pleasant presence, always available for interesting explanations. He is also a good photographer and took a lot of pictures of us and for us.
All our travel was perfectly and easily organized. I have travelled all around the world and I have had many guides and I can suggest to contact him if you want to plan a trip in Cambodia.

Great guide in Angkor Wat
Sarak is a great guide, who can tell you thousands of interesting stories about Khmer history, about their kings, gods and demons. It was a pure pleasure to spend several hours with him, being introduced to the Angkor Wat history. Plus he is a great organizer, everything was perfect from beginning to the end. “ Fabulous day learning about the history of the Temples ”
If you are looking to book a tour for Angkor Wat please don’t hesitate. Sarak is extremely knowledgeable about the history of all temples and the history of Indo-China and the Khmer. He speaks perfect English and the air conditioned car with chilled towels are a delight…didn’t think we needed them…boy were they a nice bonus…it gets hot out there. Most importantly he is extremely flexible and listens to you and will make changes accordingly. There are many options available…however the knowledge, stories and making the temples come alive were indispensable….worth every penny and a lot more. Please do yourself a favor and book , you can’t do any better!

The tour with Sarak was amazing!! The highlight of our trip in Cambodia. He is very kind, knows a lot about the history of the temples and local costumes and life, which helped us to get to know the culture better and really made the experience unforgettable. He even bought us typical desserts from Cambodia for us to try them too.

We did the private tour and we recommend it because we were able to see everything at our own pace and we did not rush.

We also highlight that Sarak is a great photographer ;) and is always ready to capture the best pictures and memories you will have in Cambodia.

Everything was amazing!!!!! Thank you very much Sarak for making this trip unforgettable!!
