In Cambodia, a monk's blessing is a sacred ritual deeply rooted in Buddhist traditions. It involves monks chanting prayers and mantras to invoke blessings of peace, protection, prosperity, and good health. These blessings are sought for various occasions, such as weddings, new homes, the birth of a child, or starting a new venture. Cambodians believe that receiving a monk’s blessing brings spiritual cleansing and positive energy into their lives. During the ceremony, participants usually offer food, incense, and other donations to the monks, who then sprinkle holy water as part of the blessing.
