Kor ker Temple Jayavarman IV and was dedicated to a deity named Tribhuvanesvara, whose inscription in Khmer says "Rare Composition" as a great deity or to give happiness in the worship of human deities. This temple was originally called Chok Koki or Koki land, now called the former capital of Koh Ker, with an area of 16x16 km. The seven-story, 35-meter-high temple on Koh Ker covers an area of 9 square kilometers. Today, there are about 100 temples built since ancient times for Brahmanical worship. More than 1,000 years old!

In the year 921, the future King Jayavarman IV (whom most scholars accuse of being a monarch) left Yasodharapura (Angkor) to build his own capital at Chok Korkor (present-day Koh Ker). He brought with him the royal relics, which were important objects for the kingdom. As for the exact reason for the departure, no one can explain yet. One thing we can agree on is that maybe he (Jayavarman IV) had a problem (conflict of the throne?) With his two nephews, the sons of Yasovarman I (889-910). King Hasavarman I (910-923) and King Bat Isanvarman II (923-928) when his father died.
