Artisans Angkor At Artisans Angkor, every creation honors Cambodia’s cultural legacy. Artisans Angkor offers a wide range of high quality products that can suit every taste.

Using the same techniques as master artisans from a thousand years ago, we craft timeless works of art—preserving Khmer heritage for generations to come. Artisans Angkor is a Cambodian social business which was originally created to revive Khmer cultural heritage while helping young rural people finding work near their home village. Since its creation at the end of 1990s, Artisans Angkor has striv

ed to provide professional skills to communities with limited educational opportunities and has offered good working conditions and social advantages to its employees. It has now opened 42 workshops in Siem Reap province and it provides employment to over 1300 people, including more than 900 artisans. Over the years, Artisans Angkor has become a real showcase of Khmer workmanship for its silk fabrics and garments, stone and wood carving, lacquer ware, polychrome products, silver plating and silk painting. Free guided tours (in many different languages) will take you through the workshops so you can enjoy our artisans’ techniques and skills and learn a lot about Khmer culture. Not only does the company revive traditional Khmer Arts and Crafts but it also offers a collection of hand-made clothing and home furnishings fitted to contemporary lifestyles.

This very unique Pamoung is designed with the combination of the lotus flower, symbolizing growth, transformation, and with the Angkor Wat Colonnettes, representing the rich heritage of the Khmer Empire. We spent 6 weeks to explored the design and 10days to weave.

At Artisans Angkor, it isn't just about the weaving but also about preserving and telling the stories that are so deeply embedded in Khmer's history.

Meet One of our Master Artisans, named An Sovann who preserving the art of Krama Khmer.
Mr. Ann Sovann has dedicated his life to mastering the craft of weaving Krama since 2000. Despite the challenges that come with aging and occasional health issues, he remains passionate about this ancient art and continues to weave, believing in the importance of preserving Khmer culture.
"I will weave krama as long as I have the strength" he added with a smile. "I love what I do. Every krama I weave brings me joy because I know how beautiful it is. I am proud of my skills, and I’m honored that my three children are also carrying on this tradition at Artisans Angkor."
His dream is to see Krama Khmer gain the recognition worldwide, preserving its beauty and cultural significance for generations to come.
