Did I mention the uniqueness of the beech at Jones Bay Villa? Oh yes. Eruptions of Nevis Peak overlooking the bay in times past, larva made its way down the peak onto the bay, coloring a section of the beech black, while the larger section remains regular white sand. So essentially the beech is a 2-color beech. Rather unique.

Jones Bay Villa is owned by Dr. Eustace Huggins, a Nevisian and national of the Sk/N federation. Though Dr. Huggins was born and grew up in Nevis, he currently lives and practices in New York, USA; but usually returns to Nevis on vacations and some holidays such as Culturama and Music Fest; two very significant and exciting events in the federation.

The island was named “Oualie” (Land of Beautiful Waters) by the Caribs and “Dulcina” (Sweet Island) by the early British settlers.
