We want you to be Busan Greeters!
Busan Greeters volunteer as a local friend walks and shows around Busan.
We are a member of the International Greeter Association.
IGA was started in New York by Lynn Brooks. When New York was notorious for crime and gangsters, she took tourists and visitors to hidden local spots in New York to change the negative image to a friendly appearance. She changed and gave a new picture of New York.
IGA is a worldwide network of more than 140 city/regional Greeter organizations sharing a common drive to create a unique experience by connecting visitors with enthusiastic local volunteers.
It shouldn’t be necessary to speak well but to have a warm heart.
We want The idea: Greeter Concept.
Greeters welcome visitors to Busan and take them on a personal, two- to three-hour walk, showing them the town beyond the guidebooks and off the beaten track. Greeters are volunteers who love Busn city or region and are keen to share their enthusiasm and knowledge about Busan city or the area. Visitors discover the city on foot or using the public transport network during the walk. Whether visiting a city for the first time or as a regular visitor, Busan Greeters welcome them to Busan city and look forward to showing them a part of “their” city.
