A fantastic day up insu-b last Wednesday! Insubong in fall is hard to beat. We had a big group of 4, but had a blast and made good times. Never seen someone try to layback the pitch 3 foot crack^^ Get out and enjoy the autumn climbs before it gets too cold!

Finally got up to a project I’ve been eyeing for over a year. Super stoked to check it out. After checking out the moves and cam placements, I rapped down and left the cams in. Pulled the rope and sent it “pink point” second go. Pretty happy with that.

An absolute scorcher on the mountain yesterday. Even with an early start and early finish, we got nicely cooked. Every year I say I’ll stop guiding in July / August, yet I keep on doing it. And, it wouldn’t be a day in Bukhansan without some free soloing ajjumas.

Yeomcho ridge offers some of the very best views in all of Bukhansan national park. It is very quiet this time of year if you want to avoid the crowds. But for good reason. It was a very hot and humid 30c day, the love bugs were in the millions, and the mosquitoes have started to appear. Bring lots of water!

Had a great weekend in the mountains as usual. But, this time we slid, jumped, and rappelled down it instead of climbing up it. A great experience and perhaps a new hobby unlocked. An absolute memorable day on Bukhansan, Mangyeongdae ridge. To quote Alex Megos, “there are no such things as bad conditions, only you are not strong enough.” I don’t agree necessarily, but today did show how much can be done with perseverance. Thanks to my absolute crusher Norwegian client for talking me into climbing today with a 100% chance of rain all day!
