Set out on a southern Korean adventure, immersing yourself in the serene pine tree woodland of Jangheung and delving into the intriguing Gueojeok Walnut Museum. Our journey then leads us to the expansive Green Tea Fields of Boseong, home to the vibrant Boseong Fragrance Festival, nestled within one of Korea's largest plantations. The following day, we'll marvel at the wonders of Suncheon. Over the past weekend, we embarked on a day excursion to Buyeo and Iksan, where we experienced a delightful array of activities. Over the previous weekend, one of our teams participated in a Korean cultural activity, making one of the beloved Korean breads. Known as Sulbbang (술빵), this bread is fluffy and includes alcohol within the dough. For this occasion, we incorporated Makgeolli to infuse the bread with flavor. Crafting it is straightforward and the result is delicious. It's a delightful treat that pairs perfectly with a cup of tea or coffee.

At a small rural experience center located in Namwon, we learned the traditional way of making rice cakes from scratch. From pounding the rice into a smooth, malleable consistency to cutting it into eatable size, we immersed ourselves in every step of the process, guided by the expertise of the local community.

Not only did we gain practical skills, but we also reveled in the joy of learning from those deeply rooted in their cultural heritage. Our experience became a cherished memory of connection and discovery.

It's been a while since our last trip to Jeondeungsa Temple on Ganghwado. Located within the confines of the Samnangseong Fortress, this temple traces its origins back to the Goryeo Dynasty.

The temple is a treasure trove of Buddhist artifacts, including what is considered to be Korea's oldest wooden lantern, all set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty.

During our previous visit, the rain lent a mystical aura to the temple grounds, enhancing its serene and historic ambiance. We're looking forward to discovering a new aspect of its charm on this visit. Check out our upcoming tour to Gimpo and Ganghwado.
