“This gem of a place, #25, was well situated in West Bay. It is clean and actually larger than the pictures. Jon and Carol are excellent hosts and even sent us a package of tips and tricks of the trade only a local could know. We loved our time in the Caymans and this lovely condo was a big reason why- steps to a heated pool and a white sand beach! With little kids, this was essential!”

They “excavated” the nest that hatched Wednesday. The wonderful team from the department of Environment dug carefully down into the nest and discovered 36 more live hatchlings that had not made it to the surface. They will be safely released into the ocean.
There were some eggs that did not fully develop and 10 that hatched that did not make it. They counted every shell, including the ones that did not make it, there were 162 eggs laid by this mama turtle! That is above the 120-150 average.
