Did you know there are 3 different species of Mangroves in Cayman?

Red Mangrove (Rhizophora mangle)
White Mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa)
Black Mangrove (Avicennia germinans)

Understanding their similarities and differences, along with the other plants typically growing alongside them like Buttonwood (Conocarpus erectus), will help you recognize them quickly when you’re out exploring our shorelines.

Mike Nelson of Sea Elements has become the second Honorary Ranger. Mike has been key in handling the aquatic side of the Rangers training and operation - whether it was during the training itself or Ranger ventures such as the Mangrove Discovery Camp, or the classrooms at Clever Fish. Something a little different........

If camps are approved we are excited to be able to offer a 'Jewellery Camp' for older children, aged 11+
This camp is limited to 10 children as each with have their own workbench and tools.
